Genmaicha, commonly called popcorn tea, is made from a high grade Japanese sencha and roasted grains of rice. This creates a unique tea with a toasty, nutty flavour which rewards multiple steepings.
In the past rice was added as a filler to make tea more affordable but is now widely enjoyed throughout Japan. From a humble beginnings to a well loved brew - look how far you've come!
