From Small Beginnings - Ti Kuan Yin Oolong
Ti Kuan Yin, also know as Iron Goddess of Mercy, is a lightly oxidised oolong with sweet and fragrant notes.
Traditional stories claim that the first tiny shoot of this tea was found by farmer who cared for the temple of Kuan Yin, the goddess of mercy. This shoot became a tea bush that provided for his living and soon that of the whole village. They attributed this success to the iron statue that stood in the temple - the iron goddess of mercy.
